WTF is wrong with this picture?

I joined Facebook almost a year ago, and soon connected with a bunch of people I knew from another site, plus a few high school classmates and a couple of relatives. After a while, my sweetie joined, too, and friended a bunch of my online friends, both of my daughters, my son-in-law, and my younger daughter's then-boyfriend. BUT, to this day, he has not suggested that I friend his former stepdaughter or stepson, nor any of "our" riding buddies, nor anyone else on his friend list. So, what do we share? The same address, we enjoy a number of the same restaurants and food, we have fun in bed together, we both love to ride the bike (if the weather is right), we both feel a strong obligation to go to work each day. Another "but" - we go to dinner, or are sitting at home, and I ask a question about whatever, and mostly what I get are one word answers. He doesn't communicate. We don't talk about anything in any depth beyond what two co-workers would talk about at the coffee machine tomorrow morning. I know some people keep things to themselves, but geeze, my cold as ice mother talks more than he does . . .
